Types of Horoscope(Kalchakra)

It is a Zodiac map or Chart in which all the positions of all planets are shown in relation to the earth and the zodiacal signs for any given moment of time.

The types of Horoscopes used in different parts of India and abroad are as shown below:

A.Charts used in Northern And Western India

• Here house position of ASC(Lagna) is kept fixed and balance houses 2nd,3rd.... 12th are understood anticlock wise.
• Here Signs are shown by No's in each house is anticlock wise.

B.Charts used in East India

• Here signs positions are taken as fixed as 1,2...12 anticlock wise and so sign no's are not shown in the chart.
• ASC(Lagna) may come in any sign and balance houses counted from ASC as 2nd,3rd,... 12th anti clockwise.

C.Charts used in South India

• Here signs positions are taken as fixed as 1,2... 12 clockwise and so sign no's are not shown in chart.
• ASC(Lagna) may come in any sign and balance 2nd,3rd,...12th houses from Lagna clockwise. 

D.Charts used in Western Countries

• Here signs positions are taken as 1,2... 12 anticlock wise.
• ASC(Lagna) may come in any sign and balance 2nd,3rd,... 12th houses from ASC anticlock wise.
• Western Astrological predictions are based on only 12 Zodiacal signs whereas Eastern Vedic system is based on 12 Zodiacal signs with 27 stars,Navamsa and other divisional charts for predictions.
